Classic Weekend

It was a crazy weekend. A 5.5 hour drive to Nick's Burgers to get the early evening fill of VW's everywhere. I almost like this event better than the VW Classic itself. Great weather, tons of sick rides and the debut's of the latest creations/possible show winners at the Sunday matinee.

Cooker's Custom's came out from Maryland with Howard Crepes BAD Brake equipped Split window Beetle. WoW! This car is sick. We saw Bob Cook out at the Winter Jam with some more sick splits so we knew this one had to be the sickness. DBK represented well with a great line up and we enjoyed it immensely.

Pretty exciting day today although the weather was still hot, but a dry heat as we call it out here. As far as work load, we got two beams out to powder coat, shipped two beams complete and got started on two more. I am so thankful that we have such a popular product as these Ultimate Narrowed Beams. We shipped out about 15 packages today to Canada and the USA. We sent out 102 catalogs today as you can see on Foursquare.

We received our chrome beauty rings for the Sano Smoothie's, they look trick on the wheels but you will have to see them at the Classic if you want to get a glimpse. Exhaust fillers are now in and will be available to purchase tonight.

We will continue to work on our display for the Classic tonight and show you what we have done in tomorrow's entry. More to come later and lets go Lakers.

Started early today and got cracking on the display for the Classic. Lots of welding, grinding, shearing and cutting took place but I am happy with the outcome. Louie from AZ Auto Graphics will be coming over tonight to make some signage for the display that should finish it off nicely.

Tomorrow is more of the same. Pack up; detail the 58, the trailer and the truck. Load and triple check everything I will need including the fully stocked ice chest because the Classic is nothing without a stocked ice chest.

We will be at Nick's burgers in Anaheim on Friday night, the OCTO show on Saturday and the Classic on Sunday. I hope all of you can make it out there. We will be out of the office on Monday as we will be coming back that day and will resume business on Tuesday.

The VW Classic is only a few days away and we are feelying the heat, literally. It was 112 degrees today. I have been waiting on a part to finish about 9 beams and worked on that most of the morning. Shipped out 5 today and hopefully 5 more tomorrow. I started working on the display for the show that should be pretty trick and a ton more inviting for clients to check out the goods. Most of the time, we set up a couple of tables and set all the wares on them. This time however, we are making display racks with info on the parts. I am very happy with the progress.
